The Co2 laser uses a unique head piece which tracks the CO2 10.6 um wavelength light as it passes light through its optical lens to penetrate the skin. We can control the depth of penetration from only a few micrometers to much deeper with tiny thermal channels.
These microscopic injuries (around 15-20% of the treated area) trigger the healing process. By creating thousands of these perforations, the epidermis layer heals quickly from the edges, remodeling and stimulating collagen. This results in tighter skin, smoothed lines, and improved complexion.
With moderate to strong treatment, expect immediate skin tightening. A single session can lessen wrinkles and fine lines for up to several months. It provides faster healing times compared to standard CO2 resurfacing, dermabrasions, or deep chemical peels.
